Video Description

On May 31, 2013, El Reno, Oklahoma, witnessed the largest tornado in history. A massive storm more than 2.6 miles wide, with winds exceeding 300 mph, changed direction several times, turning storm chasing into a deadly trap. Even the most experienced storm chasers couldn’t escape its chaotic path. That day became a tragic milestone in meteorology and forever changed our understanding of a tornado’s power.
