Video Description

A significant amount of effort was put into making the sound effects for Duke Nukem 3D. But where did they come from? In today's video, we find out. Please consider a like and subscribe. It really helps out a small channel! Thanks for watching :) ___________________________________________________ Many thanks goes to @Dzierzan23 for his help. Cheers dude! Please note that my recreations aren't meant to be exact - they are only intended as a demonstration of how Bobby Prince may have created the sounds. I originally had the idea for this while playing Quake. Also inspired by Decino and his DOOM sound effects video. (Watch it if you haven't, it's great!) Some source clips will have been shortened to help keep the video length down, but you can check out the full sounds for yourself using Dzierzan23's google doc spreadsheet below. 00:00 Intro 01:03 My Motivation 01:57 The Search of SFX 03:28 BOSS SFX 05:42 PIGCOP 07:04 ASSAULT TROOPER 07:46 ENFORCER 08:11 OCTABRAIN 10:19 SENTRY DRONE 11:21 PROTOZOID SLIMER 12:20 WEAPONS 13:52 AMBIENCE 15:15 MISC. 17:53 Final Thoughts __________________________________________________ SOURCES: https://soundideas.sourceaudio.com/albums https://soundeffects.fandom.com/wiki/Duke_Nukem_3D https://bobbyprincemusic.blogspot.com/ https://soundcloud.com/bobbyprincemusic/sets/boss-sounds-for-duke-nukem-3d/s-pRdb2 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gBGAURv1rE5i4a4xl2gMxhtDLmev0U8R67_3nPiGvtg/edit?pli=1#gid=0
