The solo journey of clearing over 2 kilometers of weedy sidewalks in the city leaves everyone amazed In the heart of a beautiful city, where everyone is caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, I chose to dedicate three special days to do something that most would consider “not worth anyone’s time” – clearing over 2 kilometers of sidewalks overgrown with weeds. Armed with just a small sickle and a few basic tools, I began my journey early in the morning, while the city was still asleep. At first, passersby looked at me with curiosity—some smiled, others shook their heads. But the more I worked, the more I felt like I was helping to “beautify” a neglected corner of the city. With each swing of the sickle, each stretch of sidewalk began to transform—cleaner, brighter, and more open. Elderly folks walking by would often stop to chat and thank me warmly. After more than three days of hard work under the sun, my shirt soaked with sweat, I felt incredibly light-hearted. No one asked me to do this, and no one paid me. I simply wanted to do it.
