It's told by the man himself, who recounts the details of his descent into Madness in various soundbites throughout the game. With the addition of the Crimson Court and Color of Madness DLCs, which expanded upon the lore of the game, the Ancestor's dealings with the forbidden are quite extensive, so let's go through all of the information that we learn of the Ancestor's actions as well as what we need to do to clean up his mess, so we can see the story of the Darkest Dungeon in full. Note: the video doesn't cover *EVERYTHING* in the game (I don't talk about the Shambler or the Collector, for instance), but it should cover everything important to the story. Hope you enjoy!
