The True Story Behind The Living Daylights (1987) Hello! Totally Awesome Films here! The Living Daylights (1987) is a James Bond spy thriller starring Timothy Dalton in his debut as Agent 007. The film follows Bond as he helps a Soviet general defect, only to uncover a complex arms-for-opium conspiracy involving a rogue American arms dealer and a fake defection plot. Bond teams up with a beautiful Czech cellist, Kara Milovy, who is unknowingly caught in the middle of the intrigue. With action spanning Europe to Afghanistan, Bond must outwit his enemies to prevent a global arms deal catastrophe. The film marks a return to a more serious and grounded tone for the franchise.
