This customer dropped their MK7.5 Golf R (non-GPF model) for a series of power, sound and handling improvements. For handling he opted for BILSTEIN B14 coilovers which are ride-height adjustable coilovers that improve the body and wheel movement better for performance use, improving handling and inspiring confidence with the added benefit of a reduced arch gap for improved aesthetic. These are matched with 034 Motorsport Top Mounts which add another negative degree of camber, unlocking a substantial amount of front axle grip for improved turn-in and cornering performance. To make the most of this mechanical grip, 0Z Ultraleggera wheels are wrapped in Michelin P4S tyres. For the power the customer opted for the APR Stage 1 ECU software with DSG software. The APR ECU software optimises fuelling, ignition, boost and many other maps inside the ECU to improve engine output significantly whilst the APR DSG software optimises the DSG gearbox for faster shifting and most importantly higher torque limits and clutch clamping pressure to prevent clutch slip and make the most of the engine output now available, without being restricted with artificial limitations from the gearbox. To fully de-restrict the intake path a 4 piece intake was installed which includes Racingline R600 Intake, Turbo Inlet Hose, Turbo Inlet Elbow & Turbo Muffler Delete. These upgrades allow the turbo to spool freely by greatly reducing intake restriction and unleash all those incredible turbo sounds!
