When done right, tackling big issues like justice, identity, and environmentalism can make stories hit that much harder. Hell, it's the easiest way to roll a story and make it have a bit of emotional oomph. But instead of meaningful, powerful narratives, what did we get? A trail of botched franchises, box-office flops, and why-does-this-even-exist moments. In this video, I break down how the movement meant to bring fresh perspectives ended up suffocating them instead. Hollywood? Bleeding cash. Triple-A games? Triple-Avoid. Comics? Dead on arrival. And all of it wrapped up in a mess of “woke” gone wrong. What went from a genre with potential for rich storytelling got railroaded into empty virtue signaling, and now the same people who should be enjoying a new era of media are… well, spit in the face by so called "media people".
