New details have come to light after 11Alive realized our crews spoke with the man who is now charged with allegedly hijacking a Gwinnett County transit bus on Tuesday. Joseph Grier -- now charged with murder, more than a dozen counts of kidnapping, aggravated assault hijacking and other charges -- was at another crime scene hours earlier, where three people were shot at the Peachtree Center mall. When 11Alive talked with Joseph Grier Tuesday as a witness at the scene of a separate shooting in Downtown Atlanta, an editorial decision was made to not use his interview at that time. On Wednesday morning, 11Alive confirmed Grier was the suspect in the bus hijacking and a decision was then made to use his interview in news coverage.
