Finish the repair, only to find it doesn't work. The controller is also faulty, and now it's going to cost at least 100 euros to fix. Now, if I had the controller in stock, I would have fitted it and taken a chance. But to order a new controller is, plus carriage, is simply not worth the risk. Especially for a brand the shop I work for doesn't even sell, as they don't want this trouble. But if your bearings start to fail or you need to change them, this is still how to do it. The process is the same.
