This Machine will Change my Life - Full Build

Building a CNC plasma table had been a dream of mine for a long time. I spent months planning it, but honestly, I kept hesitating — I was worried building such a machine might be too much for me. Eventually, I took the plunge and just went for it! To make things easier and faster, I bought a CNC table design and a set of laser-cut parts for the Y and Z axes from CncWoodMetal. This way, I could focus on learning the electronics and wiring side of things. Since I didn’t have much CNC experience, I decided to go with the Proma MyPlasma control system (not sponsored). It’s simple, easy to use, and there’s tons of tutorials and wiring guides online — a huge help for someone like me, completely new to CNC. The table itself measures 2870 x 1390 mm (full dimensions, not the cutting area) and is built from heavy-duty rectangular steel tubing: 80×40×4 mm and 40×40×3 mm. For the drive system, I used: - 3x Nema 24 (4Nm) stepper motors for the Y and X axes, - 1x Nema 23 (1.5Nm) stepper motor for the Z axis, - 4 x DM556 stepper drivers. All parts were recommended in the plans I bought from CncWoodMetal, which made choosing components much easier. After wiring everything up, there was still a lot of tuning and adjusting to do — but it was totally worth it. Everything runs great!
