This includes the incredibly popular no foreign transaction fee, as well as airport lounge access through Dragon Pass, now upgraded from 6 to 10 visits per year. These 2 features alone are enough to make this card one of the best travel credit cards in Canada 2025, if not THE best travel credit card Canada. As well as this, the card is looking to be one of the best Scotiabank credit cards in 2025 alongside the Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite Card. The travel coverages have also been massively upgraded compared to the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Card, with higher coverages in most categories. As well as this, the Scotia Passport Visa Infinite Privilege also gets mobile device insurance, which was one of the only few missing features on the Passport Visa Infinite credit card. The mobile device insurance coverage is up to $1,000 per device, which is good but could've been slightly better, as some other cards in this price range offer $1,500 of coverage for mobile devices. Speaking of cost, this Scotia credit card has an annual fee of $599 a year, which can seem exorbitant at first glance. That said, the card offers an annual travel credit of $250, which if used towards paying for travel would mean that you really end up paying $349 for the card out of pocket. This premium Scotiabank credit card also gets higher points per dollar spent on travel compared to the cheaper version, where you receive 3 points per every dollar spent on travel, as well as 3 additional points per dollar spent if the booking is made through Scene+ travel, which is powered by Expedia. This would be a total of 6 points per dollar spent, and given that Scotiabank points are worth approximately 1 cent per point when redeemed towards most categories, this would be a value back of about 6% on travel through the Scene travel program. As well as this, you get the same 2 points per dollar spent on dining and transit, as well as 1 point per dollar spent on all else as well.
