One year after the Titan accident, we decided to return to talk about the OceanGate bathyscaphe which probably imploded in the Atlantic Ocean with 5 people on board while diving towards the Titanic wreck. The remains of the submarine, which suddenly disappeared on 18 June 2023, were found after four days of exhausting searches at 3800 meters deep: the vessel was completely destroyed and the five people on board were dead. Investigations are still ongoing, but the most likely cause of the accident appears to have been a violent implosion that instantly killed all passengers. But what really happened? How was the bathyscaphe made? And why would it implode?
