The last time I visited here was in 2019 with my family and this time I traveled SOLO and it feels AMAZING! On Day 1, I kicked off with a chill 45-min walk to the Buda side to soak in the city's charm at my own pace. First stop: the breathtaking Fisherman's Bastion… it’s especially beautiful at sunrise so definitely visit at that time. Next up, I explored the Buda Castle and then relaxed at the famous Gellert Thermal Baths.. simply divine! If you want to skip the walk; don’t worry cause this city has an excellent public transportation system. You can even use the ‘Bolt’ app for taxis, but honestly, the buses here are super convenient, cheap and well connected✅ On Day 2 I discovered Budapest's hidden gems, with a "Off the Beaten Track" walking tour guided by the lovely Irene from Withlocals. I highly recommend taking tours and activities with Withlocals as their experiences are SUPER authentic and amazing!! Szimpla Kert is the biggest and best and promises an unforgettable evening. - Get the best views of the city from Gellert Hill – it's the highest point and oh-so-worth it. - And lastly, you HAVE TO experience the thermal baths!!
