A solid state drive has many benefits that can really help the performance of the PS4 and PS4 Pro. A SSD doesn't have moving parts like a normal hard drive in the PS4 so it has less chance for failure and is quieter. It also has significantly faster read/write times which means games and apps load faster. And it runs cooler so the PS4 fans need to run less, which again means it's quieter. And the price of a SSD has come down a lot so you can upgrade your PS4 or PS4 Pro for pretty cheap. In this video I replace my normal PS4 Pro hard drive with a 1 TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD which is a pretty nice solid state drive and is only $59 on Amazon right now.
