Video Description

In this video (part 2 of 3) I share how to build a dynamic Microsoft Word index (i.e. one you can update automatically without having to rewrite it) using a Concordance file. You may not have heard of a Concordance. Most people haven't. They let you construct and reconstruct your index in a much cleaner and easier way, and you can reuse it on other documents. A Word index allows the reader to search for a specific word or phrase, normally in alphabetical order and go straight to the relevant page (or pages). Marking index entries inserts XE field codes and makes your document messy so I walk through how to clean things up and maintain your index going forward. Add your questions and comments below. I read and respond to every comment personally. And don't forget to subscribe and hit that bell for notifications.
