In this episode, I’m finally completing the long-awaited terrace in front of my outdoor kitchen — the part many of you have asked about since the first concrete slab was poured. The video starts with a peaceful drive through the forest toward my off-grid stone house. When I arrive, I carefully lift my dog Lajka, who’s still recovering from knee surgery (TAA), and help her settle inside on her mat. She’s on strict rest for now, but as strong as she is, she’d be running already if I let her. 🐾 Then the real work begins — sanding, burning, and brushing the oak boards to achieve a deep, natural texture. I seal them with oak glaze to protect the wood and bring out its raw beauty. The steel frame was handcrafted by my friend Mario, a talented blacksmith and true craftsman. I fixed the frame to L-profiles anchored in the reinforced concrete slab, screwed in the prepared boards, and installed an old oak post I’ve kept for years. On top of that — a clear polycarbonate roof to let sunlight flow through the space. The result is a simple yet warm forest terrace — a natural extension of the stone cabin that fits perfectly into the surroundings. 🌲 Thank you all for watching, supporting, and being part of this journey.
