It’s a long drive in our 4x4 Mercedes Camper Van to get out to San Juanico and Scorpion Bay in Baja California. Road-tired and ready to find a camp, our first impressions don’t match what we had heard and read about this remote tiny surfer town on the west coast of Baja. After camping in the dunes on the beach, we’re falling in love with the beach at San Juanico. Amazing sunrises, flocks of pelicans and sea birds and the mysterious fishing boats in the harbor make for fun photography and filming. We’re getting out multiple times a day for long walks on the beach with Jessie. We see the same friendly ex-pats walking their dogs and everyone smiles and waves. We love the beach life and camping in the dunes and we’re ready to give the village another chance. Just when we thought San Juanico had shown us it’s magic, it gifts us a spectacular sunset. …and a glorious sunrise as we prepare to leave. We are finding magic in the dunes of Scorpion Bay and the little town of San Juanico.
