It was a beautiful and surprising country and I absolutely loved my time there, but I also did learn a few things that I wish I knew before going, so I've compiled all of that wisdom in to the ultimate Tunisia travel guide for you, so that you can go and have the perfect vacation there from day one :) I also feel really grateful to the people I met there and the kindness they showed me, so I want to do my part for helping to boost the tourism industry there. There's kind of a lack of good recent Tunisia information online, and I wanted to change that. Tunisia is full of a wealth of historical and cultural sites, old markets and medinas, fortresses, roman ruins, and of course, sites in the southern part in the sahara, like tataouine, where star wars was filmed ;) And all of that adds up to a place that absolutely suits budget-friendly solo travel. I went to Tunis, Sidi Bou Said, Carthage, Sfax, Sousse and El Jem while in Tunisia. It was an amazing tour, and I connected the dots with buses, louages, trains and taxis.
