This is a ramble about higher end swords and an attempt to answer the question “What katana would you buy if money were no object?” I created some restrictions here in the sense that I restricted the options to things that are commercially available on the from a vendor. That killed the options of buying a blade form a custom smith (at least the way I do it), random ebay or second hand market finds, and other random deals. The short answer here is an Evolution Blades Motohara series blade. I have been very happy with the LMC and Tensho L6 that I own from them. They are excellent training tools with a lot of attention to detail.
