First there was Brooklands, then there was a war, then Silverstone came along, along with Brands Hatch. But in the middle of it all was Aintree, a horse racing circuit just north of Liverpool that hosted the British Grand Prix four times, and some non championship races as well. But it just seems odd. It's probably Britain's forgotten circuit. George Russell drove one of the Mercs from the 1955 race around for a demo but you don't really see or hear much from it. So what was it all about?
