Well apparently we’ve been saying it wrong. It’s supposed to be “you can’t eat your cake and have it too”, which makes more sense but sounds weird. However you say it, glossy vs matte photos falls squarely in that whole not being able to eat/have my cake at the same time deal. I love deep, rich shadows in my prints...especially on the dusk stuff. I also hate reflections on my prints…especially on the dusk stuff. That’s because print reflections are even more crippling in photos with a lot of dark tones for the same reason you can see your own reflection easily in a clean black car but not so well in a clean white car. They show up more on the dark prints. So a hatred for reflections but a love for deep rich shadows. Welp! Turns out those things are mutually exclusive. “But why, Nick??
