Rose McGowan revealed in a 2011 interview with People magazine that her childhood and upbringing were unconventional, to say the least. She said she was born into a cult called The Children of God and that they camped out on a large property in Italy. She fled from the cult with her father and sisters when she was 9; when they eventually got back to the U.S., she began her Hollywood career. McGowan is known for her characters in movies such as Planet Terror and Scream but recently McGowan's phone isn't ringing as much. McGowan says her life in Hollywood is similar to being in a cult.
