The idea that changed my life, and the reason why I pursued slow living by moving out of a big city to the countryside. My definition of success changed after I discovered more about my true self and my true nature. Slowing down made my mind quieter. I broke the toxic cycle and realised that productivity, achievement and success have multiple ways and definitions. Here I am sharing my personal story and my past and how I came to be where I am right now. Why I actually chose slow living and how I recovered from multiple years of burnout. Shop my art: www.dariamundi.com 🌿 PISTACHIO BANANA BREAD RECIPE: 3 very ripe bananas 2 eggs 70g olive oil 125g of maple syrup 250g yoghurt or sour cream 200g plain white flour 125g ground pistachios (I ground up whole pistachios in a blender) 2 tbsp pistachio cream 1 tsp cinnamon pinch of salt 1 tsp baking soda Optional: raspberries, chocolate, chopped pistachios Mash bananas, add eggs, olive oil, maple syrup and mix well. Add yoghurt, mix again. Sieve through plain flour, add ground pistachios, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Mix with a silicone spatula. Pour half of the batter into a greased and lined loaf pan, spread 2 tbsp of pistachio cream in the middle, then pour the rest of the batter. Put into a preheated oven for 50 mins at 160C/ 320f. You'll know it's ready when you insert a toothpick and it comes out clean. * If you can't get pistachios & pistachio cream, same recipe will work with any other nuts. I usually use ground almonds and dark chocolate. You can also use ground hazelnuts & hazelnut chocolate cream (e.g. nutella).
