Here's why your Instagram account isn't growing anymore. If you're stuck and unable to grow it's likely due to an increase in Ghost Followers. The term "Ghost Follower" refers to inactive followers on your page, who don't engage with any of your content (ex: likes, saves, comments and shares). Because these fake followers aren't engaging with what you post, they're anchoring your page down, and preventing future growth. This is why you'll start to see reach drops, follower drops, and engagement drops - Instagram is showing your content to less people, because you've got too many Ghost Followers. And truthfully, Ghost Followers are impossible to avoid. Everybody on Instagram has to deal with Ghost Followers. How you get rid of Ghost Followers though, is what's important. If you're too aggressive in removing Ghost Followers, you can trigger an action ban with Instagram and possibly even get shadowbanned. You also want to be sure that you're really removing Ghost Followers and not your active audience. You don't want to undo your real growth. Instagram pages larger than that may not have their Ghost Followers correctly identified. The app may make mistakes. (In my experience). Instagram hasn't given users an official method to identify Ghost Followers and Inactive Followers on their account, but this app has worked for me. Once you've erased enough Ghost Followers, you should see your engagement rate start to go up. When your engagements go up, this tells Instagram that your page is worth growing with their algorithm. Generally speaking, I've noticed that the Instagram algorithm helps pages most when their engagement rate is above 10%. So, to hack the algorithm, use that information to your advantage. These are some simple growth hacks and strategies that I've used to grow my themepage to over 30,000 followers over the last year. This strategy still works, and is crucial for growing your Instagram in 2022. If you want rapid growth on IG that lasts, I recommend removing your Ghost Followers as you grow, so that you can elongate your growth periods. Even when your reach is going up and up, remove them.
