In late July 1965 an F-4 Phantom on MiGCAP near Hanoi was suddenly struck by a surface-to-air missile. This new threat required a proper countermeasure. Since that didn't yet exist, four F-100 Super Sabres were hastily modified into the first SAM hunting jets. This video is the story of Vietnam's first Wild Weasels.
