Join us for this 5 year timelapse of building our DREAM family home off grid on a remote tropical island 🏝 from start to finish. Over five years, through cyclones, setbacks, and a pandemic, we slowly built our home on a tiny remote island in the Solomon Islands. This is the timelapse story of how we turned a patch of jungle above the reef into a sustainable, off-grid haven for our young family. From clearing the land and pouring concrete foundations… to raising timber beams, installing giant glass windows, and moving in with a newborn — every step was done with limited tools, a small local team, and no access to the mainland.
