To transform our property at 229 Lower Clapton Road (London E5 8EG) into a traditional Ethiopian Orthodox Church and community center – a sanctuary for worship, a hub for community gatherings, and a place to preserve and share our rich heritage. With planning permission secured, we’ve already made strides in this transformation, but there’s still a long journey ahead. Essential work remains to be completed: the front entrance, windows, and doors (both inside and out) need to be installed. We also need to address the roofing to allow light and ventilation into the space. Additionally, the construction of the mezzanine floor and vicarage – crucial areas for worship and community services – can only move forward with significant funding. We invite you to be a part of this historic restoration and help bring our vision to life.
