Rather, it happens at the very moment a thought arises—by **courageously confronting one's attachments and resistance**, and using **the power of aspiration (vow)** to transcend the self. The video also points out that the root of all afflictions lies in our **desire to control**. When we learn to transform this mindset and release our attachment to being the "master," wisdom naturally arises from consciousness, leading to the realization of enlightenment. In actual practice, methods such as chanting the Buddha’s name, mantra recitation, and repentance rituals can become habitual and superficial if done mechanically.
