在現行法例下，6 歲至 15 歲兒童必須在學校就學，如學生連續缺課七天，便會被定義為「缺課」，學校必須呈報。根據教育局提供的最新數字，目前全港有逾5000個缺課個案，創九年新高。不過，部分每星期只上課一、兩天，甚至幾小時的學童，便不計算在內。有處理輟學學童問題的青年機構表示，這些潛在個案比想像嚴重。學生斷續缺課的時間越長，便越難重新融入學校生活，過去政府及各社福機構一直為缺課學童提供不同類型支援及課程，成效怎樣?本集會一一探討。
