位於香港東北，鄰近深圳鹽田港，有一個不足50人居住的島，這個島叫作「吉澳」。曾經，吉澳有超過5000人居住，但隨著城市經濟發展及沙頭角被列為禁區，不少村民都搬出市區生活，甚至到海外工作。但離散者總被心中濃厚的鄉情牽引，總惦掛家鄉一事一物，更合力籌款資助於天后宮旁興建「吉澳故事館」。 而「天后誕」可謂吉澳人心中重要節日，每年除了有島外村民返鄉共慶，旅居僑民亦會跨越數萬里回鄉，共享盛事。數位來自客家村、漁民村的村長，每年都與島上村民合作，即使各位村民早已步入遲暮之年，但仍盡心盡力籌辦節慶，期望一眾鄉俚延續傳統習俗，包括子時拜天后、天后出巡、搶花炮等。不過，最重要的是能夠藉此機會聚首一堂，重拾兒時快樂回憶，繼續「水陸一家親」。 慶典後島嶼復歸寧靜，但在一眾吉澳人心目中早已期待明年舉辦的十年一度「安龍清醮」，再次回到小島，回味童年的節慶盛事。
