G'day my name is Levi and I'm a prospector and adventurer of gold living in Tasmania, Australia. I've always loved the outdoors and grew up along rivers and streams in Tasmania, but it wasn't until I went fossicking for gemstones that my prospecting passion took flight. After this initial gem hunting trip I started researching gold in Tasmania and quickly learnt the techniques and methods to find gold. Once I found that first piece of alluvial gold the rest was history, I've had gold fever ever since and I'm extremely passionate about it.

Adventure hunting for Jade, specifically nephrite Jade. The adventure that came about from some old geological maps drawn up by a friend of my uncle. We set out into Tasmania’s west coast to track down the gps location of the Jade. After multiple attempts we come home with some promising results. We test to see if the stones are in fact Jade by doing a specific gravity test and also to see whether the stones are transparent.
