G'day my name is Levi and I'm a prospector and adventurer of gold living in Tasmania, Australia. I've always loved the outdoors and grew up along rivers and streams in Tasmania, but it wasn't until I went fossicking for gemstones that my prospecting passion took flight. After this initial gem hunting trip I started researching gold in Tasmania and quickly learnt the techniques and methods to find gold. Once I found that first piece of alluvial gold the rest was history, I've had gold fever ever since and I'm extremely passionate about it.

It's time to go in search of the motherlode, the source of the gold that the 1800s gold rush missed. After six years of working the bedrock of this river and finding exquisite crystalline gold it's now time to find where the source of this gold is coming from, in the late 1800s Tasmanian prospectors searched these hills thoroughly to find the source of the chunky gold they'd found in the river bed. With incredible multi kilogram nuggets found on the upper banks of the river the source had to be nearby and although the old miners did discover gold in its host rock in the hills the gold found didn't match the size and consistency of the huge chunks found so frequently in the riverbed. This is part one of my efforts to narrow down on this gold using modern technology that the old timers never had and with a little luck and a lot of persistence we may find what was never completely discovered.
