The Reliant Kitten seemed to have everything going for it. This high miler launched just after the 1973 fuel crisis when everyone was running around looking for cheap motoring. It's competition was out of date, it had a fresh, modern design, crafted out of glass fibre that never rusted. It had a peppy engine that turned this Kitten into a bit of a Jaguar. So why did Reliant only sell about 4,000 of them?
