Kibera is the largest urban slum in Africa. It is located in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and Leonid went there to find out how people live in a place where living conditions are not even close to being comfortable. About a million people live in Kibera, and there is not enough infrastructure for all of them. But there are people there who are trying to do something that will improve both their lives and the lives of everyone around them. This is the story of those who are creating local small businesses and social initiatives to help others survive. People are establishing health care, cleaning, education and childcare through their own efforts. These are the real heroes of the slums. They'll tell us what drives them and why in this episode of Culture Shock filmed in the African slum of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya.
