American special forces fly out of UK base to seize Russian oil tanker

Watch multiple aircraft operating from RAF Fairford to support a US operation to seize Russian-flagged oil tanker 'Marinera' (formally Bella 1) using Special Operations Forces. On January 7th, the United States launched an operation to seize Russian-flagged crude oiler tanker 'Marinera', formally named 'Bella 1', supported by the United Kingdom. Multiple aircraft were utilized by Special Operations Forces flying from England and Scotland; an event witnessed by hundreds of local plane spotters and widely reported on by press on both sides of the Atlantic. RAF Fairford (along with RAF Mildenhall) had seen a huge increase in arriving aircraft from US bases since the operation to capture President Maduro from Venezuela on January 3rd. Most aircraft arriving at RAF Fairford have been publicly tracking, with clear indications they had travelled to the area the tanker was in. While training was carried out by special ops forces during daylight hours in view of locals in the Cotswold area of England. It is believed the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), aka 'Night Stalkers' deployed to RAF Fairford for the operation. Their iconic UH-60 Night Hawks and MH-47 Chinooks had been spotted at the base, but, seemed not to be used with CV-22 Ospreys from the 352nd Special Operations Wing at RAF Mildenhall fulfilling their role instead. The operation was also supported by MC-130J Commando IIs, also from the 352nd, along with a C-146 Wolfhound and CASA CN-235 also seen in the video. Additionally, AC-130 Ghost Riders, P8 Poseidons, MH-6 Little Birds and a variety of other aircraft and maritime vessels are believed to have been involved in the operation.
