ANSYS-Fluent Tutorial|| Hot and cold water mixing || Heat transfer

Video Description

Step by step process of 2D mixing of cold and hot water in the pipe is simulated in Ansys fluent. A 2D mixer is taken with two inlets (one for hot water and one for cold water) and one outlet. Then it is simulated and Ansys fluent to determine the temperature variation in a mixer. Both cold and hot inlet, as well as outlet diameter of the pipe, is considered to be 2 mm. The inlet cold water temperature is 300K and the hot water temperature is 600K consider for simulation. The velocity at both the inlet are considered the same as 0.1 m/s and at the outlet atmospheric pressure has been considered. Present simulation has been performed with unsteady solver, the different time step is used to check the effect on residual convergence criteria. Finally, 5e-3 s found sufficient to satisfied convergence. Temperature, velocity and pressure contour has been obtained. the temperature at the outlet of the pipe has been calculating and its values come near about 450K.
