Original character and features, such as coloured cement tiles, tall windows, and stone walls, provided the perfect foundation for a sensitive, light-touch renovation. By widening doorways and removing unnecessary partitions, Calleja transformed dark, narrow rooms into a one continuous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. A bespoke oak-fronted kitchen extends towards newly lowered windowsills, with views of the historic streets below. Built-in storage, a compact breakfast bar, and reclaimed mid-century pieces bring warmth and practicality without overwhelming the space.
