Additional details in description below: I've seen a pair of Saint Laurent boots on the feet of practically every celebrity at some point and have always wanted a pair. Recently, I saw a pair of Saint Laurent Wyatt 30 Jodhpur Boots in the Sigaro color on Grailed in my size that were pretty much brand new. In this video I unbox my pair, give you a review, and determine if these are worth $1000. In Saint Laurent’s naming convention, Wyatt refers to the last of the boot. The 30 stands for a 30mm heel (Saint Laurent offers a 30mm and a 40mm heel for their boots). Jodhpur is the model that is differentiated with the wrap around straps. The 2712 Sigaro color is the perfect shade of tan. The New Sigaro and Light Tobacco color way from the more recent seasons is muted and better suited for streetwear styles. The 2712 was discontinued by Saint Laurent a few years ago. The upper consists of beautiful suede and the inner is leather lined with 100% calfskin. The boots are constructed with a blake stitch that joins the suede upper and leather outsole. I prefer a Goodyear Welt but the Blake Stitch allows for a shorter break in period and that sleek design. The stitching around the boot is impeccably finished and is a unique detail Saint Laurent offers on their boots. The streamlined silhouette, the premium design and the shape are what make the Saint Laurent Wyatt Boots iconic in the menswear world. Most Saint Laurent boots have an ankle hugging shaft that fit perfectly with slim/skinny jeans. The $1000 price tag is hard to stomach but there are options to get them cheaper. A lot of retailers have sales on them roughly once a year where the price drops to roughly $750. Saint Laurent outlets stock them at prices under $500. Sites like Grailed have them for even less. You definitely pay a premium for the brand and the design and the quality is not comparable to boots that cost $1000 but you mainly buy Saint Laurent Wyatt Boots for the design and the silhouette.
