Video Description
Sam Tanenhaus is a journalist, historian, and biographer. He was the editor of The New York Times Book Review, a writer for Vanity Fair, and is currently a writer for the Washington Post. As a historian he wrote “The Death of Conservatism” which analyzed conservatism after Barack Obama was elected President in 2008. His biographies include “Whittaker Chambers: A Biography,” and the long-awaited biography of William F. Buckley, Jr., “Buckley: The Life and the Revolution That Changed America.” It has been a work in progress since his selection by Buckley before his death in 2008 - which was said to have been influenced by the Tanenhaus biography of Whitaker Chambers.
