CHINA WILL BLOW YOUR MIND! 🇨🇳 (first day back in China)

We brought our daughter to China, because we have such great memories here. In fact, once she was born, China was near the top of the list for places we wanted to show her. It was our first time using a basinet seat in an airplane. That worked out well. Although, the power went out of the plane and so we were 6 hours without our entertainment/ TVs, and also no lunch. No sweat, the airline gaves us a huge bag of free snacks once we landed. The 240-hout transit only, visa-free process in China is clearly getting some good usage. When we first traveled here, 1.5 years ago, the staff at immigration were very helpful, although they were a bit confused about how to process us. This time, we went straight through without any delay. We are glad to see a lot of tourists checking out China. There's a lot to offer here! Upon arrival, we couldn't check in for 2 hours. Which meant we immediately hit the streets in search of HOW CHIT BREAD! We were on little sleep and quite hungry. There were plenty of closer restaurants nearby us. But we had to return to Steve's favorite Shanghai street food. And it didn't disappoint! Just as delicious as always. (Steve was hoping the lady working there remembered him, but she didn't appear to. No sweat. Her food is amazing.) Once we checked in it started raining, so we watched Chinese local TV in our hotel for a bit. We were impressed with such educational TV designed for kids. We've heard rumors of this sort of thing before: How China doesn't allow youth to watch harmful things on TikTok or other such applications. The show we found performing science experiments in a game show style. Steve watched it for more than an hour despite not understanding any words of Chinese. It was a good show, honestly. After the weather cleared up, we returned to some old favorites. Nanjing pedestrian street, the bund, and more. Ivana said Shanghai is one of her favorite cities in the world, and she really means it. It's such a nice place. Clean, organized, affordable, with plenty to do. Once the sun set, we found a great restaurant that only had 1 item available on the menu. We like places like that. It was a simple shop and exceedingly quiet. The food was good.
