We're Isis and Bertus, a Belgian-Dutch couple who are exchanging the concrete of the suburbs for the peace of nature. After fifteen years of dreaming and gradually working towards making this possible, we stand at the beginning of a new chapter. Our path has led us to a dilapidated farmstead nestled in the rolling hills of the breathtaking Langhe area in Piemonte, Italy. This week, we cleared an old country road that had been overgrown for about a decade, finally making it accessible again. Along the way, we cut and stacked firewood to dry, visited a local winery, and ended the days with a good campfire. There was also some time for smaller projects—propagating horseradish, and enjoying a hearty Flemish beef stew, a family recipe cooked by mom. We're Isis & Bertus, a belgian-dutch couple. In the summer of 2023 we moved into a neglected farmhouse in a tiny village in the northwest of Italy.
