Hello, dear viewers! Today I am introducing you to the economical and renewed sedan of the Dacia family – the 2026 Dacia Solenza. The 2026 Dacia Solenza is built on the reinforced CMF-B–based sedan platform and looks more serious than previous Dacia models with its sharper lines. The approximate dimensions are as follows: length 4,430 mm, width 1,800 mm, height 1,460 mm, wheelbase 2,640 mm, and front/rear track 1,550/1,550 mm. The ground clearance is around 155–160 mm, allowing the car to comfortably pass over curbs and bumpy city or rural roads. At the front, the Y-signature full LED headlights, chrome-free grille and flat hood give the Solenza a simple yet technological face. On the side profile, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, lower protective panels and a slightly descending roofline towards the rear create both practicality and a dynamic appearance. At the rear, the horizontal LED taillights, integrated small spoiler and smooth trunk lid help maintain an aerodynamic drag coefficient of approximately 0.29–0.30 Cd. Entering the cabin, the higher seating position and wide front windshield make city driving easier. In front of the driver is a 7.0- or 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and in the center sits a 10.1-inch multimedia screen supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 1,800 mm body width and 2,640 mm wheelbase noticeably increase shoulder and legroom in both front and rear rows. Rear legroom is around 900 mm, headroom is around 880 mm, and the thicker-padded seats reduce fatigue during long journeys. Door pockets, the center tunnel and the front panel together provide around 20 liters of additional storage space, while a 12V socket and two USB-C ports increase daily practicality for families. The luggage capacity is approximately 520 liters, and when the rear seats are folded 60:40, it reaches around 1,400–1,450 liters, making the Solenza a convenient companion for family trips. The base engine for the 2026 Solenza is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TCe turbo-petrol unit delivering around 90 hp and 160 Nm of torque. The 1.0 ECO-G LPG version offers around 100 hp and 170 Nm, providing cheaper running costs thanks to the ability to run on both petrol and LPG. With both engines, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or, in selected markets, a CVT-type gearbox, 0–100 km/h acceleration is completed in about 11.5–13.0 seconds. For a more dynamic drive, the 1.2-liter TCe mild-hybrid 130 version offers around 130 hp, 230 Nm and a 7-speed dual-clutch DCT automatic, reducing the 0–100 km/h time to approximately 9.5–10.0 seconds. In WLTP tests, fuel consumption is expected to be around 5.5–6.5 l/100 km for petrol engines and 5.0–5.5 l/100 km for the mild-hybrid version. The front MacPherson suspension, rear torsion beam, four-wheel disc brakes, electric steering and additional sound insulation give the Solenza reduced body roll in corners and a quieter character on the highway. The starting price of the entry-level 1.0 TCe 90 in European markets is expected to be around 16,500–17,000 euros, while the ECO-G LPG version is projected to be in the 17,500–18,500 euro range.
