8 DAYS ON THE TOUR DU MONT BLANC | 100 miles through 3 countries (**full hut to hut experience**)

Our full 8 day vlog of our Tour du Mont Blanc trek June 19-27, 2025! We found out about this trek last year, and immediately started wondering if we could make it happen on our trip to Europe this summer. But, as we usually do, we forgot to plan until pretty late! Most people recommend booking the TMB 6-9 months out to get your preferred huts. We booked 5 months out (in January for June), and managed to piece together 7 nights along the route. Most hikers complete this trail in 10-11 days, and they hike counterclockwise. We hiked the trail in 8 days clockwise, which left us with a few really big days! Hiking the opposite direction of most hikers was actually a really interesting move, we weren’t sure how that was going to go. Pros: you don’t get stuck in trail “traffic,” the trail felt pretty calm, and it felt like we could move faster! Cons: harder to find beta on the route, you don’t hike with the same group of people. Sleeping in the huts was one of the coolest experiences, and was very different from any backpacking trip we have ever done. The food was pretty amazing most nights, and it was very nice to get to take a hot shower and sleep in a bed!! We ended up spending $1,093 per person for the 8 day trek!
