The Atari Jaguar was marketed as the world's first 64 bit console. Released at a time when the media and many consumers were obsessed with bits, The Jaguar it seemed, was destined for success and Atari had big plans for it – even a VR headset. But instead of bringing Atari roaring back to the mountain top, the Jaguar was a commercial failure and some critics doubted if it was even really a 64 bit system.
