Norwegian authorities enlisted an international team to retrieve the bodies, but the operation was deemed too challenging, leading to a diving ban on the cave. Consequently, the three surviving divers took matters into their own hands to recover their friends. The cave is located in Rana, Norway. It is the deepest cave in Northern Europe. They ultimately recovered the bodies and it was documented in the film "Diving Into The Unknown." The diving ban was lifted on March 31, 2014.
