Read before going to Zhangjiajie to avoid the crowds: ➡️ Not many people know this but you can stay overnight INSIDE the forest park! Wake up to the mountains before everyone else, enjoy the sounds of wildlife like Pandora in the mornings and evenings, clouds are lower in mornings too! The hotel is called YOLO hotel, it isn’t a luxury one but the whole experience makes it worth it ➡️ Avoid entering at the EAST GATE! If you don’t stay inside the park, the East gate is busiest, enter from the South East gate and head to the Avatar mountains (YuanJiajie) area as soon as you enter! ➡️ Take the Bailong panorama elevator (highest outdoor elevator in the world) UP during the afternoon when everyone is going down to leave! ➡️ Visit Laowuchang, it’s an hour to hike or costs an extra small entry fee to reach by bus, therefore least crowded at any time of the day! It’s actually my favourite part of the park! ➡️ Everyone says this one- avoid public holidays and weekends! ➡️ 1.5 days needed if you want to reach everywhere in the park, but only focus on top half of the park on the map if you only have one day!
