The biggest upgrade for photography this year is the telephoto camera on the iPhone 17 Pro now has a larger 48mp sensor. This is my 5th year in a row comparing the newest iPhone to my daily professional camera, the Canon R5 in real world situations. The telephoto isn’t the only upgrade this year, Apple also introduced a brand new selfie cam which we’ll also take a look at. But, as a photographer, the $1100 dollar question is, will this years camera upgrade impress like they did three years ago.
