When the heart and the brain are in optimal sync with one another, the frequency measured is 0.1Hz. This is called heart brain coherence. When experiencing heart brain coherence, the nervous system, cardiovascular system, hormonal system and immune system, work much more harmoniously & efficiently together, creating a more optimal level of performance. The frequency of 0.1Hz lies within the range of delta brainwave frequencies (0.1Hz - 3.5Hz). Delta waves are the slowest recorded brain waves in human beings. They are found most often in infants and young children, and are associated with the deepest levels of relaxation and restorative, healing sleep. The frequency of 6Hz lies within the range of theta brainwaves (4-8 Hz).
