For decades, Pauline was almost forgotten. She appeared only in obscure Mario puzzle games on the Game Boy Advance and DS. But then, in 2017, Pauline was rocketed to newfound fame with Super Mario Odyssey. Not only did she sing the game's theme song, Jump Up Super Star, but she took on a new role as mayor of New Donkey City!
