I’ll show you the geopolitical motivations behind the intervention that toppled Gaddafi’s government 14 years ago and how a single lapse in judgement by then U.S. President Barack Obama led to the nation turning on itself, with different warlords battling for control over this 4th largest country in Africa. This story doesn’t just end with Libya, as the situation in the country has since brought back slave markets on the continent of Africa with factional leaders also engaging in arms smuggling activities leading to a wider insecurity situation in the Sahel countries.
